The Gossip - Music For Men
This is actually the fourth album from The Gossip!
Produced by Rick Rubin the album starts with Dimestore Diamond which is a slow bluesy song with a simple drum beat which follows in to recent single Heavy Cross. Continuing the club beats from older songs such as Standing In The Way of Control this track has even more of a dance feel to it and the dance energy and beats are constant all the way through the album. But more rocky tracks like 8th Wonder and Vertical Rhythm stop the album for being repeative and boring.
Album highlights include Pop Goes The World, the catchy Men In Love and the uptempo 2012.
This album is a lot better than Standing In The Way of Control but although it has a lot of good tracks there aren't many totally outstanding tracks and it seems like the band fare better at producing songs aimed at making people dance as opposed to the eclectic tracks.
