There are many ways to get around Cumbria. You need to plan ahead so that your route is fast, safe and inexpensive.
The first thing you need to do is work out what time you need to be at your destination, then decide what is the easiest way to get there.
If you decide to use the train or bus, you can call Cumbria Traveline on 0870 608 2 608. (Remember to ask what is the closest stop to your destination).
If any of your journey is on foot please try and walk through well lit places and avoid isolated areas.
Make sure somebody knows what time you are due to arrive at your destination and keep them informed if there are any changes to your plans (why not send a text).
