World Autism Awareness Day


The United Nations has declared April 2nd World Autism Awareness Day, to increase and develop world knowledge of autism. By bringing together autism organisations all around the world, we will give a voice to the millions of individuals worldwide who are undiagnosed, misunderstood and looking for help. Barrow Sports Council's FREE Holiday Sports programme is on again this half-term!

There will be lots of fun FREE sports for 8-15 year olds including football, rugby, cricket, table tennis, rounders & volleyball.


Players from Barrow Raiders will be coming along to coach rugby league and share their skills.


This is all happening on Monday 6th to Thursday 9th April at Parkview School playing fields 2-4pm and again on
Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th April at Parkview School playing fields 2-4pm.


It will also be taking place at Hindpool Urban Park on Wednesday 8th & 15th April 11am - 12noon and Friday 17th April 11am -12noon.

Living Well Trust Coliseum

The Coliseum

During the forthcoming April school holidays, the Living Well Trust are out with the Coliseum. The Coliseum is a multi purpose, fully portable sports arena, and provides a fantastic way for young people to enjoy sport.


You don't even have to be good at sports to be good in the Coliseum!


We are in the following locations:

  • Monday 6th April - Corby Hill - near garages behind 1 Millriggs
  • Tuesday 7th and 14th April - Longtown - behind 7 Lochinvar Close
  • Wednesday 8th and 15th April - Belah - on Belah Road
  • Thursday 9th and 16th April - Upperby - top of Scalegate Road near the St Johns Ambulance depot
