Carlisle Wheelchair Basketball Development Evening 18th May 2009

Held on Monday 18th May 2009 6.30pm to 8.00pm with Coffee on arrival. This will be followed by a wheelchair basketball taster session from 7.00pm - 8.00pm whereby adults and young people interested in helping with, coaching or playing wheelchair basketball will have the opportunity to get specialist coaching. There will be a range of sports wheelchairs available for use. Anyone is welcome to attend the evening as you do not have to be a wheelchair user to play wheelchair basketball. All activity will be delivered by qualified and experienced wheelchair basketball coaches.

History comes to life in a series of vivid and spectacular events along one of the world's most famous frontiers: Hadrian's Wall.


Dramatic re-enactments with a living cast of hundreds will bring the frontier story to life. For the first time in 1600 years there will be a full Century of Roman soldiers from all over Europe along the Wall - as well as Border Reiver, Viking, and English Civil War re-enactors - all bringing their stories together in a large-scale pageant finale in historic Corbridge on Saturday 30th May.

Reach for the Sky have some fantastic events planned for the spring half term.

For the first time in the UK, experience six live aerial spectacles from across the globe in six stunning locations across Cumbria, The Lake District in just one week.
